Help center
How can we help?
Quick answers about joining, your camera and microphone, booking, plans and notes. Can't find it? Ask the helper or send the team a note.
Joining a meeting
Do I need to download an app to join?
No. Tap the link you were sent and the meeting opens in your web browser. It works on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Chromebook. Guests always join free.
What happens after I tap the meeting link?
You type your name and turn on your camera and microphone. Then you wait in the waiting room. The host sees you there and lets you in with one tap.
The link opened inside Facebook or Instagram and my camera won't work. What do I do?
Some apps open links in their own small browser, and those can't use your camera. Open the link in Safari or Chrome instead. The meeting page tells you when this happens.
Can I join without my camera?
Yes. If your camera won't cooperate, you can join with just your voice, or join and just listen.
I'm the host, but I'm stuck in the waiting room. What do I do?
Tap I'm the host in the waiting room. That asks the room's owner to let you in as a host. If you're a co-host, sign in to your own Let's Sit Down account first, then open the room link. You'll join as host.
Camera and microphone
My browser is asking to use my camera and microphone. What do I tap?
Tap Allow. Before your browser asks, we show a picture of exactly which button to tap on your phone or computer. An iPhone may ask twice, once for the camera and once for the microphone. Tap Allow both times.
I tapped Block or Don't Allow by mistake. How do I fix it?
The meeting page notices and shows numbered steps for your exact browser to turn your camera and microphone back on. Follow them, then tap Try again.
They can't see me. What should I check?
Close other video apps, like FaceTime, that may be using your camera. In the meeting, tap Camera or sound not working? and choose They can't see me. It walks you through the fix, including restarting your camera.
They can't hear me. What should I check?
First check you aren't muted. Tap the big Unmute button at the bottom of the meeting. On a phone, take out earbuds you aren't wearing or turn Bluetooth off. On a computer, check your headset is plugged in or choose a different microphone.
I can't hear anyone. What should I do?
Turn your volume up. On an iPhone, check the switch on the side isn't set to silent. Take out earbuds or turn Bluetooth off if the sound is going somewhere else. In the meeting, tap Camera or sound not working?, choose I can't hear anyone, and tap Turn on the sound.
The picture keeps freezing. What helps?
Your internet is slow right now. Turn your video off to keep your voice clear. People will still hear you. If you can, move closer to your Wi Fi or close other tabs and apps.
Booking
Is the booking page really free?
Yes. Every plan, Free included, comes with a booking page at no cost. Free includes one booking page. Business adds booking for your co-hosts and team.
How do people book a time with me?
Share your booking link. People pick a day and time from the hours you set, then add their name and email. One booking can include several people. Each booking gets its own meeting room with the waiting room on.
What do guests get after they book?
A confirmation email with the join link, a calendar file and a Google Calendar link. You get an email too, with who booked and when.
Do guests get reminder texts?
Reminder texts from your own number are coming soon.
Plans and billing
What does the Free plan include?
Free has no time limit on any meeting and room for up to 25 people. You get a waiting room, breakout rooms, screen share, your own room link and one free booking page. Guests always join free.
How much do Business and Leader cost?
Business is $14.99 a month or $149 a year. Subscribe by December 31, 2026 and you lock in the founding price: $9.99 a month or $99 a year. Leader is $39.99 a month. It has everything in Business with room for up to 300 people, for trainings and big teams.
What does Business include?
Up to 100 people and your custom link, like letssitdown.com/yourname. Your colors and logo on your join page, waiting room and booking page. Co-hosts and booking for your team. Recording, full transcripts and AI notes after every recorded call, with 20 recorded hours a month. Plus connecting your own AI and a webhook for your other tools.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Try Business free for 14 days. No card needed. When the trial ends you move to Free unless you pick a plan, and your room keeps working.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your account page. You keep Business until the end of the time you paid for, then you move to Free. Your room keeps working.
Hosting
Is there a time limit on meetings?
No. No meeting on any plan, Free included, gets cut off by a timer.
How do I sign in as a host?
Go to letssitdown.com/start and type your email. We send you a 6 digit code. There's no password to remember.
Can someone else start my meeting if I'm running late?
Yes, with co-hosts. Add their emails on your account page. Once they're signed in to their own Let's Sit Down account, they can open your room links as host, start the meeting and let people in.
Can more people join than my plan allows?
On a paid plan, turn on bigger events in your account. A room can then grow past your plan, up to 1,000 people. Each person above your plan costs $0.25 an hour, added to your next bill.
AI notes and privacy
Who can see my recordings and transcripts?
Only you, the host. Recordings and transcripts stay private with the host. Attendees only get the summary you choose to send, and you turn that on or off for each meeting.
How do people know they're being recorded?
Recording only starts when the host taps Record. Everyone in the room sees a red RECORDING sign the whole time, and anyone can choose to leave instead of being recorded.
What's in the AI notes?
On Business, after a recorded call you get the full transcript and an AI recap: what was discussed, decisions and next steps. Long meetings keep recording, and the notes come out as one. You can download them as Markdown or text.
Connecting your own AI
Can I connect my own AI assistant?
Yes, on Business. Make a private key on your account page and add Let's Sit Down to your AI assistant as a custom connector. Then ask it about your meetings, summaries, transcripts and action items. It can also schedule and move meetings for you. The key is shown only once. Turn it off on your account page anytime.
Staff and assistants
Can my staff help run my meetings?
Yes. On Business and Leader you can add up to 5 staff or assistants on your account. They sign in with their own email, start your meetings, let people in from the waiting room and book on your calendar, all on your behalf. Anyone who needs their own meeting room and booking page gets their own plan.
No question matches that yet. Ask the helper, or send us a note and the team will answer by email.
